Hey there, fellow wiki contributors. I don't know how many will end up seeing this, but I wanted to address it nonetheless.
Now that we've come to the end of the series, I'd like to start putting a little more focus on article revision, finalizing the wikis organization and layout, directing attention to stub articles, and general cleaning up. Since the final season has just been released, I'd rather hold off on cracking down on these things until more viewers have caught up and the edit rush has died down (perhaps some point early in the new year), but there's one thing I'd like bring up for the moment.
One of the main things I've wanted to remain consistent about since I joined the wiki was the separation of the information within the series itself from the additional historical information that some of the subjects are based on. I've mostly noticed this on character articles like Heinrich Himmler, who's "Background" section contains an excessive amount of additional information not related to the series. Aside from the relevance issue, we also have no way of telling if every piece of information on said character is identical between the timeline of the series and our real life one.
For this reason, I'd like to have an effort put forth to revise and cut out the excess and irrelevant information on these types of articles. Anything that's not specifically referenced in the show itself should not be there (if you have more of an interest in the additional information, there are other wikis for that). If anything, certain details of significance can be moved to the "Notes & Trivia" section, but keep it brief (I've also noticed that some of the articles have a "Divergences with Our World" section on them, which could be incorporated as a sub-section). I've implemented a notice that will be placed on the articles in question over time.
This will be a work in progress, so feel free to post any questions or comments you may have below.
