A Traveler is a person who has developed the ability to travel to parallel universes and can also see through the memories of their alternate selves, though how these abilities come about is currently unknown. According to Abendsen, it's only possible for someone to do this if their counterpart either doesn't exist or is deceased in that specific timeline.
The ability to travel may be obtained after years of meditation practice. In the case of Fatima Hassan, traveling occurs after a rush of fear-based adrenaline followed by a brief burst of deep alpha-wave meditation. Juliana Crain is the only traveler with an additional ability to see through the memories of her alternate selves after seeing or touching specific objects or persons.
