The Imperial Japanese Navy Air Service is the air arm of the Imperial Japanese Navy.
Although not directly mentioned in The Man in the High Castle it is likely that it would still exist as aircraft carriers are present in the Imperial Japanese Navy.
Carrier-based jet aircraft[]
Carrier-based jet aircraft are present on Imperial Japanese Navy carriers and are seen briefly in a couple of shots. They are delta wing aircraft and parts seem to resemble the F3H Demon and the MiG-21 (although this is purely a guess - if anybody has better aircraft knowledge then they can edit this)

Coaxial rotor helicopters[]
Coaxial rotor helicopters were used by the Imperial Japanese Navy and are seen briefly in a couple of shots. They are near-identical to the real life Kamov Ka-27.
Maritime helicopter of the Imperial Navy.
Propellor Fighter Plane[]
The tail reads "BII-124" which was a real IJNAS Mitsubishi A6M Zero which crash landed on Melville Island.

Seen briefly this is identical to the Mitsubishi A6M Zero. In the show it is blurred, the picture to the right of this text is recovered from a VFX breakdown. The blue stripes indicate that it is part of the Imperial Japanese Navy Air Service but due to its blurring it is likely that this was not meant to be seen in great detail although this does confirm propellor fighter planes still remain in use in the 60s. It may also indicate that the IJNAS continues to use Zero's although this is unlikely as the only carriers seen in the show carried Carrier-based jet aircraft.
Notes & Trivia[]
- What seems to be a Zero fighter plane in IJNAS markings is shown in a VFX breakdown although in the show it is blurred. More info in List of Japanese Vehicles and Aircraft.
