The New World (1x01)[]

Reiss explains to Tagomi and Kotomichi how the visit of the Crown Prince and Princess will be scheduled. When Tagomi voices his opinion about the furniture in the Embassy being unfit for the two royals, Reiss misinterprets his words, assuming that he doesn't think the furniture is elegant enough and assuring him that the pieces are the same as the ones in Berlin. After the two Japanese officials leave, a Nazi officer explains to him that Tagomi was actually referring to the concept of Chi/Qi, a very important principle in Chinese culture. Reiss scoffs and calls their beliefs "superstitious crap", then wonders why were the Japanese allowed to rule the western half of the American continent.

In the elevator, Kotomichi notes that "the Nazi officer has a disdain", to which Tagomi replies that Reiss only understands the world he can see.

Sunrise (1x02)[]

Ambassador Reiss and Oberführer Diels visit Tagomi and Kido, under the pretext of making sure that nothing disrupts the speech of the Prince. They ask about how the investigations regarding the films produced by the 'Man in the High Castle' are going, and if the Japanese have catched the woman smuggling those films yet. Reiss smugly warns Tagomi that if they fail to catch the woman, the Nazis will do it for them, subtly mocking the two Japanese officials in the process.

The Illustrated Woman (1x03)[]

Reiss is photographed by the Crown Prince's side and then shakes hands with him. Afterwards, Diels and him try to convince the Prince to cancel his speech in front of the Nazi Embassy, with Diels claiming that he's heard rumors about the Resistance planning an attack.

Revelations (1x04)[]

The Ambassador announces to the other special guests that the Crown Prince will arrive soon and asks them to take their respective seats.

Three Monkeys (1x06)[]

During a meeting with other Japanese and Nazi officials, Reiss inquires about the Crown Prince's health.

A Way Out (1x10)[]

Hugo Reiss greets Joe Blake and tells him that there's a flight back to New York booked for him. He then tells Joe to make himself comfortable while he waits.

Fallout (2x10) []

(mentioned)

Tagomi wants to show the movie he obtained from the alternate reality to Ambassador Reiss, however Kido tells him that all the Nazis have left San Francisco.
