General Hidehisa Onoda (Japanese - 小野田 秀久) was a leading member of the Japanese military.

General Onoda was in charge of Japansese nuclear research and the Kempeitai in the Pacific States. He was tasked with the devlopment of the Japanese Heisenberg Device, to which he would use to retaliate in the war with the Nazis. However, his plans were discovered by both Frank Frink and Nobusuke Tagomi. With this knowledge, Frink worked with Sarah Murakami in order to plot his assassination after discovering the nuclear facility. Before the explosion at the Kempeitai building, Onoda and other senior officers were leading a Banzai rant with Kempeitai soldiers, including Takeshi Kido. When the bomb exploded, Onoda and most of the senior officers were killed, prompting Kido to be promoted to leading officer of the Kempeitai.

- The name "Hidehisa" means "excellent, outstanding" (秀) ("hide") and "long time" (久) ("hisa").
- Hidehisa's surname "Onoda" means "small" (小) ("o"), "field, wilderness" (野) ("no") and "field, rice paddy" (田) ("ta"/"da").
- His name is most likely reference to Hiroo Onoda who was a real life intelligence officer in the Imperial Japanese army during WW2 who did not surrender until 1974 at order given to him by his former commander.
